Grandma Again -----I think

Well I'm told that on June 28, 2006, I became a grandma for the sixth time. To date I have seen no proof of this. I'm told that in addition to Kelci, Katy, Allie, Dawson and Austin, I have a grandson named Riley. Again I have seen no proof that Riley exists.

Now I did talk to Monty and Mel and they both told me that Riley exists----but I have SEEN no proof. I even heard a baby crying in the background but maybe they just borrowed one as I have not SEEN proof.

I can hardly wait to see pictures of the little fellow.

Herman has been working quite a bit lately. On the weekend he put in 6 hours Sat. pm and then went to work from Midnight to 7am. This week he has 2 or three days working at the hospital.

I went to Stoon on Saturday and spent the day with Jacqui and Amanda. They were having a yard sale. Roger and Landa came over and brought me an Ice Cream cake for my birthday. It was hot and did it ever taste good. Made a really nice lunch out of it. Justin (Amanda's husband) barbequed for supper.

I came home on Sunday. Boy was I tired. I spent most of the afternoon sleeping on the couch.

We reviewed our plans for our trip. Planning on coming out to Van via Edmonton and back home through Calgary and then up to Red Deer. We'll probably separate from Jacqui there as she has a friend there that she has not seen in three years. Herman and I hope to be home for the long weekend (We're getting old and will need some time to recover from the trip)

Herman went golfing today and shot his best ever on 9 holes. Two under par!!!!!!!!!!! On Mondays he golfs the first 9 as a best ball with the seniors then golfs 9 holes of regular golf.

Dumb question of the day at work. "Do you sell used parts?" Duh! I work at an Auto Wrecker!

Always thought I could go for a man in uniform!

Here is what is happening at this end.

Herman, after almost 30 years of being unable to work, started work this week. This was him heading off to his first shift. Damn good looking I would say.

Guess now that he is a working man again, I will have to start cooking, cleaning, doing laundry etc some times. It will be a real adjustment to make.

Work continues to be hectic. Too many things to do and not enough time to do them all. Somehow bosses like the extras that one does to make their lives easier but they don't realize the amount of work that goes into making those extras happen. When I started work 4 years ago there were no price lists for items at all. They guys had been there so long that they had all the prices memorized! I started working on a price list about 2 years ago and it is finally starting (and I really mean "starting") to come together.

Still waiting to see who wins the baby derby for Mel and Monty's baby. Out here in Saskatchewan we have passed all the predicted dates except MINE which is June 24. I sure hope you don't go that long Mel.

answer to the stories

Since I have had a couple people respond I can give you the answer.

Art you had it right, Clay rode the duck and Monty ran into the back of a parked truck.
Cookies could be the Prize. I'll see what I can do when we visit this summer.

Donovan - good guess but WRONG

Kelci - I think you need to get to know your uncles better or at least get your mom to tell you more stories about them.
